Building Kenya's sustainable infrastructure since 2016.
Chimtech Solutions Ltd is a Nairobi-based contractor specialising in solar installation, borehole drilling and equipping, and electrical services — for homes, farms, schools and businesses across Kenya.
Our story
Why we do three trades.
[Company story — to be supplied. Suggested content: what prompted the founding in 2016, why the combination of solar, boreholes and electrical was deliberate, the founding team's background, the first project, what has changed since then.]
What hasn't changed is our approach: we give every client an honest assessment, a detailed quote, and a named project lead who is accountable from survey to handover.
What we stand for
The four things that don't change.
One contractor, full accountability
When one team designs, installs and maintains a solar borehole system, there is no gap between contractors for problems to fall into. We are accountable for the whole job.
Licensed crews, every project
All electrical work is carried out by EPRA-licensed electricians. All borehole drilling is done with the proper WRA permits in place. We don't cut corners on licensing or compliance.
After-sales support
Handover is not the end of the relationship. We offer maintenance contracts and are available for support after installation — because a system that breaks down six months later isn't a good outcome for anyone.
Honest quotes, no surprises
Every quote is itemised. We explain what drives the cost and what can change. We don't quote low to win work and then adjust later.
The team
The people behind the projects.
Safety & compliance
Licensed, permitted, documented.
We operate under the licences and permits required by law. This isn't a marketing claim — it's the minimum standard for protecting our clients.
- EPRA: Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority — electrical installation licence [class and number to be updated]
- NCA: National Construction Authority — registration [category to be updated]
- WRA: We obtain WRA drilling permits for every borehole and assist clients with abstraction licence applications
- All electrical installations are commissioned and certified to EPRA wiring regulations and Kenya Bureau of Standards
Safety approach
- PPE worn on every site — no exceptions
- Site induction before any crew begins work
- All electrical work isolated, tested and certified before energisation
- Drilling rig checks before each shift
- Water quality confirmed by accredited laboratory before any potable use
